We use Essential Skills programs every day primarily as an intervention program with our special education and intervention kids. The classroom teachers love the programs because they really hit the state content standards. They challenge the students and do exactly what we need skill based programs to do. The children are anxious to get to the computer and are fully engaged in learning the skills. This is great supplementary material that reinforces what they are teaching in the classrooms.

We use the Sight Words software in grades 1-2, for 20 minutes four times per week. This program is a great supplement for struggling students needing repetition and practice. It is the best we have found for teaching sight word recognition.
