Our test scores are excellent. We would attribute some of this to Essential Skills.

ESS programs are very engaging which is especially helpful with the kids that are easily distracted. I use the software every week with the students in grades one to five. We have good gains from six months to a year with our students.

I have used a lot of software, but Essential Skills is the best!

We have used Essential Skills programs with our K-2 and remedial students on a weekly basis for the past four years. These programs are easy to work with and fun to use. They are a good supplement to our curriculum and I think they have definitely made a difference for our children. We use the programs to prepare our younger students for the BEArkansas test and the district benchmark test.

Our kids love the programs from Essential Skills. I like it that they can practice yet not realize they are steadily working on and learning their basic skills.

Leida Baker, Grade One Teacher
Olive Elementary, Drumright, Oklahoma

I would rate Essential Skills a 10 out of 10 for ease of use, appeal to students and organization and delivery of skills.

Mary Beth Wilson, Title I Teacher
Luther Elementary, Luther, Oklahoma

It is basic skills practice that my kids need help with and Essential Skills programs are able to target specific skills for each of my students. I purchased the programs on a memory stick and absolutely love them. I can take them from classroom to classroom everything is saved on the memory stick. The children stay engaged by these programs and work independently. I love the reports and tracking to show parents. This software is a definite ten out of ten.

I really like the programs from ESS because they individualize the skills depending on ability level. First I show the kids the programs on the Smartboard. We do some activities together then the children are able to work independently at their own level. My students are definitely benefitting. Our testing results are mostly showing progress with some students improving as much as two grade levels.

Our students use Essential Skills on a daily basis. The programs are being used by most classroom teachers throughout the school. They target specific skills and are easy to use. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this software a 9 for development and reinforcement of basic skills.

Carolyn Gray, Special Education Teacher
Smithville School, Smithville, Oklahoma

We use Essential Skills daily. These programs give the supplemental practice and review that the students wouldn't otherwise get. They give thorough coverage and repetition of the skills using all learning modalities. The programs are also grade leveled and use controlled vocabulary. Also, it is easy to keep track of student progress and print reports to share with teachers and parents.
