Most Common Problems (and Solutions)

Problem:

“The publisher cannot be verified as a trusted source. The code will be treated as unsigned” is displayed while trying to log in.

Solution:

This is caused by a setting that is typically off in all previous versions on OS X but is switched on in OS X 10.7.x

To fix this go into the folder Applications > Utilities and run Keychain access. Under Keychain Access menu, select preferences. Under the certificates tab turn OFF “Online Certificate Status Protocol” and “Certificate Revocation List”.
